Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.
